Promotion & Certification
To be promoted through Grades 10 and 11 and to ultimately receive the NSC in Grade 12, learners must meet specific achievement levels across their subjects.

How Assessment Works
Grades 10 & 11: The final mark consists of 25% Internal Assessment (projects, tests) and 75% End-of-Year Examination.
Grade 12: The final mark consists of 25% Internal Assessment and 75% Final External Examination. Life Orientation is an exception, being 100% internally assessed and externally moderated.
