Our Story

Where It All Began

Jordao High School, originally founded as Jordao College in 1997, began its journey in the educational hub of Braamfontein with a clear and meaningful purpose: to create a school where every learner is known, supported, and given the opportunity to thrive. From the beginning, we believed that a young person’s potential is best realised in an environment that values individuality, dignity, and strong relationships.

As the school grew, our mission remained the same, even as we relocated to our secure and conveniently situated campus in Towerby, in the south of Johannesburg.

Today, Jordao High School serves fewer than 150 learners — not by limitation, but by intention. Our size allows us to offer personalised attention, maintain a warm and familiar school culture, and ensure that no learner becomes just a number.
